2023 Outdoor Season Wrap-up

The UC Stars Football Club had a successful 2023 season with some impressive achievements – Five men’s teams and one women’s team went all the way to the semi-finals. Two of these teams, the Women’s Division 1 and Men’s Masters Division 1, etched their names in the annals of history as they clinched the coveted championship titles, along with the Men’s Masters Division 1 also taking out the Premiership title.

This season witnessed a stroke of luck in terms of weather compared to last year, with only a rare few training sessions disrupted by rain.

The women’s league transitioned to a home and away structure, mirroring the men’s. Despite some initial challenges (unlike the men’s comp, the women’s was not paired) the change ultimately provided a winning solution, granting the women’s team the enjoyment of playing all their home games on beautiful UC Field 1.

As the season concludes, the UC Stars Football club eagerly anticipates expanding their player base across multiple teams next year, with an eye on even greater successes in a multitude of divisions.

Coaching EOI

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for coaches for our Champion winners Women’s Division 1 team, along with our Men’s Division 1 team. 

If you are interested in coaching at our club please fill in the coaching EOI below. The intern coach positions mentioned are for people who may be interested in coaching in the future, who are looking to develop their leadership skills. Interns will be paired with a team’s head coach undertaking their C-level licence, to shadow and learn from them. This might also involve rotating between squads and working with different coaches at different times, to learn different styles.
