Any person who cold-registers (those who have not already been training within a UC Stars FC team or have not been selected for a team for the current season) will have their registration cancelled.


When does the soccer season start and end?

Round 1 is usually at the beginning of April, depending on when Easter Falls each year

How do I register to join the club?

Once you have been placed in a team, you can register via the link on this page, where it says “Register Now”

What age groups or divisions does the club cater to?

We are a senior (over 18 years old) club. We have senior teams in Women’s, Men’s and Masters (over 35s) leagues.

What are the training schedules and locations?

Our teams train on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, depending on which team you are in. The highest level (Division 1 in both Men’s and Women’s) train twice a week on Tuesdays and Thurdays. All other teams train once per week.

Are there any volunteer opportunities within the club?

Yes! The entire club is run on people helping out in small ways, and we are always looking for helping hands or people who want to step into leadership positions within teams. Each team should have a team manager, along with a “Social Hero” to take snaps of training and games to share to social media. We also run several events throughout the year and need volunteers to help with the logistics such as set-up, taking tickets, and packing down afterwards. Please get in touch in you’re interested in helping out throughout the season.

Are there opportunities for both recreational and competitive play?

Whilst we cater to more social teams in lower divisions, the league is still a competition, and not classed as recreational. If you are placed in a team, you need to commit to the full season (generally 18 rounds) that runs from April to September.

How much are the membership fees, and what do they cover?

Registration costs for 2024 are $530, and are one of the cheapest options in Canberra for senior leagues. $255 of this goes to Capital Football, $240 goes to the club to cover ground hire, equipment, referee fees (when there are allocated referees), club administration costs and support for coaches. The remaining $35 covers your playing shirt for the season, which can be customised with your name.

Do you provide uniforms and equipment, or do players need to purchase their own?

The club provides all playing and training equipment. Players will need to purchase socks and shorts in the appropriate colour for their team, and their playing shirt comes as part of their rego cost. 

How does the club communicate important updates and announcements to its members?

General communications to players are through our Facebook and Instagram pagers. Important information will be emailed, and each team has their own communication channels, usually a messenger or whatsapp group.
